Work With Me

I’m a Senior DevOps and Platform Engineer with 5+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure. I focus on the problems that actually slow teams down: DevOps as a bottleneck, infrastructure that’s fragile, teams that can’t move independently.

I take full ownership. I understand your constraints, build the right solution (not just the technically interesting one), and hand over systems your team can maintain and improve. I document everything and build so whoever comes next can actually use what I shipped.

I work on contract, consulting, and long-term partnerships. Email me if you have infrastructure problems worth solving.

What I can help with

Cloud Infrastructure from Scratch

Building AWS or Azure infrastructure from the ground up. Multi-region deployments, VPCs, security, networking, databases, storage. Everything as code with Terraform or Pulumi so your team owns it and understands it. Most important part: you can actually use and modify it after I leave.

Use this if: you're starting a production environment, moving from on-premises, your infrastructure grew without plan and needs modernizing, or you need actual best practices instead of copying Stack Overflow answers.

Kubernetes and Platform Work

Building and optimizing production Kubernetes clusters on EKS and AKS. I start with security built in: OIDC, RBAC, network policies, Kyverno enforcement. Then I tackle scaling with Karpenter and KEDA, and cost optimization so you're not paying for idle resources. I've run Airflow and Flink at scale on Kubernetes, so I can tune those too.

Use this if: your team is moving to Kubernetes, your existing clusters need cost or reliability improvements, you run data workloads on K8s and they need tuning, or you're scaling but don't want to hire more engineers.

Self-Service Automation

Building the automation that unblocks your team. Slack-triggered workflows, AWS Step Functions pipelines, Python scripts, internal CLIs, Airflow DAGs that let developers do things without filing a ticket. This is usually the work that pays for itself in a month because it stops eating your time.

Use this if: DevOps is a constant bottleneck, you want to scale without hiring more infrastructure people, your developers are tired of waiting for ops, or you're doing the same manual task every week and need it gone.

Data Platform Operations

Operating data platforms at scale. Apache Airflow, Apache Flink on Kubernetes, Snowflake administration, Redis, OpenSearch. I build the automation layer so your data team can run independently and catch problems before your users do. This includes monitoring and observability that actually tells you what's happening.

Use this if: your data team doesn't have dedicated DevOps support, you're running Airflow or Flink in production and it's breaking, Snowflake is costing more than expected, or your data platform visibility is basically nonexistent.

How I actually work

I don’t need a checkin every morning. I scope the problem, plan the approach, and execute end-to-end. You’ll know what’s happening but you don’t need to babysit me.

I measure what matters. Cost savings, incident response times, how much faster your team is moving. You’ll see if this actually worked.

I write documentation and I mentor your team. The goal is that they own what we built and can improve it. That’s not optional.

I optimize for your business, not for what’s technically impressive. Sometimes those are the same thing. Most times they’re not.

How we can work together

Project-based (2 to 12 weeks) Scoped infrastructure builds, platform launches, modernization work, incident response, security architecture. You know what we’re building, when it’s done, and what it costs.

Retainer (ongoing) I’m embedded with your team. Platform engineering work, on-call support, continuous optimization, architecture reviews, mentorship. This works if you need steady platform engineering support without hiring a full team.

Consulting and reviews One-off architecture reviews, design feedback, incident post-mortems, second opinions on technical decisions. You get my thoughts without a long commitment.
